Engineer.
Pianist. Runner.
Background
Building hardware for the real world.
Hello! I'm André, an electrical engineering student at the University of California, Riverside. I have a deep passion for hardware and extensive experience in PCB design.
I recently interned at Planet Labs, where I designed and tested compute hardware for Earth imaging satellites, using space to help life on Earth.
At UCR, I've been heavily involved in cross-functional projects, including Highlander Space Program, Aviat'R, and Highlander Racing. My work spans everything from high-level system architecture to PCB layout and firmware development.
Outside the Lab
Staying active and making noise.
In my free time, I play jazz piano! You can often catch me jamming with friends or performing with UCR's jazz ensemble. I've also been actively into rock climbing and running! Last summer, I enjoyed playing soccer with my fellow Planet engineers; I'm always in for a game.
